First Officer, Daniel St. Denis

Nationality – Canadian

Dan was born in Canada near the Great Lakes and as such, spent much of his childhood on the water. The incident of 9/11 inspired Dan to begin training and started his professional career as a firefighter, before the urge came to explore the world and joined the yachting community in 2007. Starting in the Caribbean, Dan would spend the next nine years at sea travelling the islands, New England, the Red Sea, the Mediterranean, northern Europe, East Coast Canada, and even his hometown. Dan has been part of Captain Jesse’s team on M/Y Starship and Netyanya 8 over the years, so we are happy to have the crew back together again.
Dan has spent the past two years working at a maritime academy, training the next generation of yachtsmen and women in navigation and safety in order to get their OOW licenses. Although he is at sea, the keen sense of his fire training still remains, and will always be at the forefront of safety onboard. In his free time Dan can be found spending time with his wife, family, camping, snowboarding and traveling to off-the-beaten-path locations.
